For people who, like me, are curious about everything, this book is awesome. It's informative, and isn't harsh or judgmental. It's what a goof book on any sensitive, controversial subject should be, and I strongly recommend the book for people who want to learn more on this subject.
However, there are a few points of criticism I would like to add:
While I realize that Miletski was sampling from a wide range of people with varying opinions and points of view, I was a bit disturbed that she included quotes from people who talk about purposefully raping and/or killing the animals they had sex with, and seemingly enjoying the experience. From what I gather among the bestialists and zoophiles that I know, such things are frowned upon and are generally not considered either of those things, but 'zoosadists' instead. Perhaps I just know decent people, though.
I would also add that the book can be a bit dry, and the print seems a touch on the small side, but those are minor points of criticism and no one should avoid the book for those reasons. :) Especially when the good points very much outweigh the 'bad'.
